What You Need to Know about Real ID

The Real Id Act of 2005 is critical in establishing security standards for federal identification. This may sound like it doesn't apply to you, but if you fly anywhere, there's some things you need to know. The act raises the requirements for state issued drivers licenses to be accepted by federal buildings and airline travel. Starting January 22, 2018, some passengers will have to show alternate identification at the airport for domestic travel if their state is not compliant with the REAL ID. Some states were granted an extension, so this may not apply to you. Wanderlust Wednesday: Jamaica Edition

On Monday night the Seabrook Travel Team had the pleasure of attending a seminar on Jamaica. We got to check out some great hotels and attractions and we won't lie, it left us dying to jump a plane and head down to the land of alright. "We do relaxing, but we don't do boring." Jamaica has so much to do! There's about ten golf courses, with packages available at many hotels. There is also a phosphorescent lagoon located in Falmouth, where guests are taken on a beautiful night cruise. When disturbed, the microscopic organisms in the water glow and creates and eerie, glistening light. This phenomenon is said to only occur in only 3 places in the world. Half of my heart is in Havana! Last week Karen was in Cuba so we wanted to share her highlights. You really get to interact with the people and architecture. If you love culture this is a destination for you. The island is not very tourist-y, it really is built for people interested in the history and culture. HOTEL NACIONAL DE CUBA is the resort that all the old movie stars used to stay in the 30's and now where the dignitaries stay. The old cars and buidlings were a hit with Karen's husband, and hearing the old stories of the sites was very interesting. She says its a very unique place and she would definitely go again!
